Novozymes to construct a new R&D campus in Denmark

novozymes denmark

Novozymes will build a new campus dedicated to research and business development in Denmark, in the north of Copenhagen. With 140,000 square meters, the company expects that the new innovation campus will be a cornerstone for Novozymes’ global research.

The location, in close proximity to the Technical University of Denmark aims at creating a global hub for biotech research. As part of the campus construction, Novozymes will also establish a learning center where students and visitors alike are invited to discover about nature and biology. The learning center will include teaching laboratories, a small cinema and a cafe.

Since 2005, Novozyme’s number of employees has grown exponentially, which contributed to the decision to develop the new innovation campus. The inauguration of the new innovation campus is expected to take place in 2018 upon the approval of the district plan.
