Portugal invades the Labiotech office!

Hey everybody!

We got news to share with all of you. Two new members, Francisco and Denise, joined Labiotech this past month. Funny fact? They both come from different points of sunny Portugal (and this wasn’t intentional).

Francisco, born and raised in Lisbon, moved to Berlin at the end of 2015 to pursue a career in marketing and digital media. What better place than our beloved Berlin, don’t you think?

He is now in charge of Growth, Marketing and Social Media. He has a BA in European Studies, majored in Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon and worked all around.

From marketing, event production to music journalism and content writing, he also takes part in an artistic collective called Rabbit Hole based in his hometown. He is replacing Will, who went home to his island (…the UK).

As for Denise, she has a MSc in Bioengineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. She briefly lived in Lund, Sweden and worked as a research student in a project for a microbial production of bioplastics.

Now in Berlin, she will be working with our editor Dani to update you daily on what’s new and exciting within the biotech industry. Expect good things from her (and you may have already read some of her great pieces last week)!

I’m really excited to welcome Francisco and Denise, and I’m sure we will do great work together.

P.S. These two members will bring the total number to 8 members (!) in our Berlin office. And soon more…but all revealed in due time!
