Who can apply?
Our startup call is aimed at every startup in the field of biotechnology that is convinced by its project. For the first time, our jury will select the participants. As long as your ideas are awesome and you believe in them, you are who we are looking for!
What’s that ‘Startup Battle’ about?
The Startup Battle has become a ‘classic’ at Labiotech Refresh, and our attendees just love it. Every startup presents its work in a 5 min pitch, followed by 10 minutes of questions from the audience and the judges. There will be two separate startup battles, one for the ‘young and wild’ early-stage startups, and one for the companies that are a bit more developed. In a nutshell: it’s all about fascinating people with your idea, and doing it better than your competitors!
Who will judge?
This year’s jury will consist of some of the best and most experienced people in European biotech, so make sure to prepare well! They will show no mercy with their questions! But since we at Labiotech.eu believe in democracy, the winner will be chosen by the more than 350 attendees!
What’s the reward?
Besides free entry to the event, all participants of the startup battle have the unique chance to pitch in front of the best audience European biotech has to offer, and receive constructive feedback from the most successful VCs and BDs in the field. No need to mention the exposure on Europe’s biggest online media for biotech! The winner will also receive an awesome Berlin surprise, of course (it’s not a currywurst)!
